Emporio Armani Caffe & Ristorante Re-opens in Milan

Updated: Aug 23, 2023

Mr. Giorgio Armani shows up in style to inaugurate the re-opening of Emporio Armani Caffè & Ristorante with friends during Fashion Week FW19 in Milan, Italy.

The sleek re-design of the Emporio Armani Caffè in Milan arrives just in time for the first women's fashion season of the year.

Serious, but soft.

While the outside remains untouched, the re-designed interior pays homage to the era in which the building was constructed. Throughout the space Armani stays true to an elegant if not serious and masculine tone, channeling the design evolution of the 1930's through geometric and angular shapes, mirrors, and shades of chrome. The overall design is softened by round tables and lush upholstery.

What Giorgio eats.

The menu has been updated to appeal to a more international audience but also includes local flavours and personal favourites of the eponymous designer, like saffron risotto, spaghetti al pomodoro and veal Milanese. The restaurant also offers Sunday brunch.

Dynamic design give diners privacy and efficiency.

Two levels and a unique floor plan give the space flexibility for diners looking for privacy or for a quick meal. The upstairs is dedicated to fine and leisurely dining where you can expect formal service while the bottom floor remains casual. The bottom floor is flanked with a grand iridescent winding staircase that connects the two areas and thus creates a communal atmosphere where the bar meets stairs. Tucked behind is a cozy nook, excellent for aperitivo or light business meetings.

Classic Armani.

Always on the heels of modern sophistication, Giorgio Armani and his team have envisioned a design that will remain a classic, from the kitchen to the bar, to the tailored service and appearance of the staff, with this well-executed and respectful tribute to one of Milan's finest eras and designers.

"A pioneer in the fusion of fashion and food, Giorgio Armani entered the food service industry in the 1980s to help him develop an all-round Armani lifestyle. The Emporio Armani Caffè formula was founded in Paris in 1998, with the intention of offering clients a captivating experience beyond shopping. Today, it is a modern and well-structured format, with an offering that ranges from breakfast and lunch to aperitifs and dinner.

The common thread is its Italian identity, expressed through excellence and refinement. Emporio Armani Caffes are present today in Bologna, Dubai, Milan, Munich, Paris and Tokyo."
