Presenting Diesel's Spring/Summer 2024 runway show in Milan, Italy 2023, by Glenn Martens, Creative director for the brand, through the lens of photographer, Fabio Cannizzo.
Exclusive images capture runway looks styled by Ursina Gysi, Hollywood movie feels that cross into a rave, brought to life by the art direction and set design of Sayan Benbady, and a selection of photos of the attendees from Diesel's packed roster of 7000 guests, 1500 which were prioritized for students.
A giant glowing megascreen measuring 26 x 16 meters is the backdrop for the Diesel runway show and afterparty, featuring an original soundtrack composed by Senjan Jansen. For the rest of the weekend Diesel screened films, free to the public, curated by the brand, continuing the festivities.
The looks from the show stressed utility with zip-up denim tops, pants and skirts that can be worn separately, lot’s of cargo, and garments zippered together to create boilersuits. The collection was tailored and distressed, true to the brand’s DNA, presenting new takes on restructuring like belt bags joined together to make a bandeau top. Also featured were Diesel Eyewear's sunglasses, a special collaboration with Essilor Luxottica that drip “movie-star” style designed with fine metal frames or wrapping acetate goggles.
The show was held at Scalo Farini thanks to the patronage of the Municipality of Milan.
