Tech is in the air at this year and leading the program at Maison & Objet in Paris 2024. The world-renown design fair and exposition celebrates it's 30th year with Tech Eden, and takes place January 18-22, 2024. Maison & Objet is a mecca for designers and enthusiasts, many of the same that regularly attend the Salon del Mobile design week in Milan.
While the Salone del Mobile in Milan focuses on furniture, Maison & Objet features an array of objects and decor, with both events including plenty of cross-over and a variety of interpretations from artists and brands across industries.
Digital Design Inspired by Nature
A blend of nature and technology is what guides this year's theme, specially oriented for the retail, residential, and hospitality sectors. The 2024 Tech Eden universe encompasses a variety of industries and provides unique exhibitions like Alchemy by Baccarat who will be celebrating their 260th anniversary in 2024. The immersive experience is a visual journey through the Baccarat manufacturing process from stone, to stove, to the flawless final product.
Program of Events Maison & Objet Paris 2024
The Future on Stage returns with a competition between three design agencies, judged by a jury of industry experts. There is no lack of conferences and workshops to attend with close to 100 speakers featured in the The Talks, located in Hall 6.
Read up on Mathieu Lehanneur, the Designer of The Year and check out his project, Outonomy, in person at the fair in Hall 7. The designers spectacular work is heavily researched as Lehanneur is known to surround himself with experts like the Harvard professor David Edwards, and has taken on a number of dynamic projects including having designed the Olympic torch for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
"WHAT'S NEW" is what's on everyone's mind. What's New in Retail can be found in Halls 3/4 and Decor in Hall 7. In Decor, Elizabeth Leriche designs a space that experiments with three environments from the desert to the ocean, to the botanical world. As an expert in decor, scenography, and creative direction Leriche's curated collection of new objects and trends will inspire interior designers, set designers, buyers, and even content creators.
This year's Maison & Objet will be a special occasion celebrating the event's 30th anniversary, sure to be packed with a host of exhibits, products and inspiring ideas.
