SOCIAL BITE | Vito Fierotti...loves Ravizza

Updated: Feb 10

Vito Fierotti, Visual Merchandiser at Prada, is everybody's crush in Milan. A true Sicilian gentleman, he intrigues all who are lucky enough to spot him at select art and fashion events. With a taste for the finer things and a natural elegance, Vito is number one on our list to ask where to go for a snack that truly matches everyone's taste.

Where is your favorite place to go for a quick bite (boccone) or a little treat when you’re on the go? Ravizza. It was originally a gentlemen’s clothing store that wasn’t doing well like so many of the small, independent businesses. So the owner had the idea to combine food and the store. They offer tailoring so you can be getting your suit hemmed while you snack and drink.

What do you get there? It is the perfect place to get small snacks that are typical Sicilian recipes like rollò, a base of bread filled with hot dog, or la ravazzata a small foccaccia stuffed with meat and tomato and cheese.

Why is it so good? All of the ingredients really remind me of being in Sicily, fresh ricotta, pistacchio, prosciutto, and good bread. You can eat quickly, eat well, and the ambiance is really cute.

When is the best time to go? I love coming for aperitivo or lunch but the best is come for brunch – also the hot chocolate is to die for!

How did you find this place? It’s right in a busy business district. The owner is from Palermo [where I’m from] and we’ve actually known each other for many years because he was the boyfriend of one of my friends. I happened to see the place again one day when I was passing by because I work close by.
